Let’s Talk

LIFE TRANSITIONS

A change can affect more than your schedule.

A relationship ends. You become a parent. Work changes direction. A health concern makes you reconsider what your days can look like. Even a change you chose can bring feelings you did not expect.

You may be trying to manage the practical demands while also wondering who you are in this new situation. What used to feel familiar may no longer fit, and the people around you may not understand why the transition feels so significant.

I work with adults who want space to explore those changes. We can look at what is happening now, the expectations you carry into it, and the values you want to guide your next choices.

MAKING ROOM FOR THE EXPERIENCE

There may be more than one feeling.

Relief and sadness can exist together. You might feel excited about an opportunity and miss the life you are leaving. A decision can be right for you and still affect your relationships, routines, or sense of belonging.

Our conversations can make room for the parts that are difficult to explain. We do not have to reduce a complicated experience to a single feeling before working with it.

We can also talk about the everyday effects: the conversations you are putting off, the decisions you are facing, and the patterns that show up when life feels uncertain.

BELIEFS AND IDENTITY

Notice the expectations underneath.

A transition can bring old expectations into view. You may notice a rule about what a relationship should look like, what success means, or how you are supposed to respond when something ends.

We can examine those beliefs with curiosity. Which still reflect your values? Which feel inherited from family, community, or an earlier version of your life?

The purpose is to understand your experience and your choices. You do not need a complete picture of the future to begin that conversation.

WORKING TOGETHER

Bring the conversation into daily life.

My approach includes mindfulness, emotional regulation, and practical coping skills alongside exploration of patterns and meaning. The conversation can stay connected to what you are actually navigating between sessions.

You might want to understand a reaction, prepare for a difficult conversation, or consider how a new routine could reflect what matters to you. We can discuss your priorities and what support you are seeking.

Sessions take place by video for adults in Texas and Colorado. A free consultation gives us a chance to talk about fit and the practical details before scheduling therapy.

PRACTICAL QUESTIONS

Before we begin.

Does the change have to be a crisis?

No. A transition can be meaningful even when other people see it as positive or ordinary. We can discuss why it matters in your life.

Can grief or relationship changes be part of this?

Yes. Loss, changing relationships, and questions about identity can overlap. We can talk about the experiences together.
